Reconstruction Anniversary Year #7!!!!

Last day of June already! Thank you to those who have reached out to celebrate 7 years of me being self-published. Here’s my book trailer that was produced by my friend Bradley Evans, the music is by my friend Alejandro Perez’s band, “Melody Memory” such an awesome collaboration! The artwork that you see throughout the trailer are different pieces that are actually embedded through my book by other friends as well such as Samax Amen, Riki Johnson-Atkins, Soukaa and David Rodriguez (who’s painting you also see on the book cover).

As artists, it’s wonderful when you can reach out to people and they help you on the dream path, and then in turn you can help them out with something as well. Feel free to check out the video below for the trailer. πŸ‘‡πŸΎπŸ‘‡πŸΎπŸ‘‡πŸΎ

Shout out to Dee Hill for the author photo, Dawn Adams for the editing and Stacy D Luecker of Essex Graphix for the cover layout and typesetting.

Blessings to all of the author’s who poured into me to get me to this point, collectives and groups…this book started being birthed in Dallas, TX (moving there was truly designed by God…thankful for it). They are ArtLoveMagic, Art Conspiracy, South Dallas Cultural Center and The Writers Block!

Also for those who would like to support by purchasing my first book or all whether it’s paperback or e-copy, you can scroll through my website and not only check out the store, but feel free to read my inspiring blog, check out other publications I’ve been in such as anthologies and much more. Many blessings to all. ✌🏾

Happy 7th Anniversary to Reconstruction, Pieces of Life Vol #1!

Hello everyone!!!! Today marks 7 years that my first self-published book, “Reconstruction, Pieces of Life Volume 1” was made available to the public!!! Check out a poetry set I did on Facebook Live (hence the commentary) in honor of publishing my book below πŸ‘‡πŸΎ

It took YEARS for me to finally publish it…what pushed me across the finish line is when I became very ill with Lyme disease. I said to myself and loved ones, “If anything happened to me, I wanted to make sure to leave a legacy behind for my son.” I slowly started putting the pieces together and working with a dynamic team of artists and my editor and my dreams came true.

We all face obstacles in life, some are a whole lot harder than others and some will even knock us down. Despite it all, even if you work on just one small thing a day on pursuing your dreams, do it! Those small things start to snowball into something bigger and before you know it you would have birthed whether it’s your first book, an art exhibit, your business, planning that dream vacation, steps to buying a house…whatever it is…just start.

Thank you all for your support and love! If you don’t have a copy of Reconstruction or any of my books, you can find them on this page at the store

(The store also has e-copies available)!

If you live outside of the United States then you can find my books on Amazon.

Many blessings!
